Garland of fallen leaves and pine cones to dress up its autumnal spirit walls

  • 6-10 dead leaves
  • 5-7 small pine cones
  • String
  • Rose gold or copper color spray paint
  • Scissors

Production:

  1. Choose a few dead leaves that are identical in shape and size. Repaint them on both sides with rose gold or copper paint while protecting the work surface from old newspapers. Usually, the paint drying process should not take more than 30 minutes, and we advise you to respect it before continuing with your DIY project.
  2. Then, lay the fallen leaves and pine cones on a flat surface and arrange them the way you wanted them to streak on your garland. For a better rendering, we advise you to alternate dead leaves and pine cones.
  3. Begin creating your garland by creating a loose knot. Then put the stem of the first leaf in it and squeeze it tight. Continue by making a few more knots to place the rest of the fall decorations. Make sure that the intervals between them are equal!

Hang on the wall behind your desk for a bit of fall note in the bedroom.

  • Paper plate
  • Sandpaper
  • Scissors
  • Autumnal decoration: raffia, fallen leaves, pine cones, acorns

  2. Then, stick your stickers on the face of your glass jar and press on them to make them adhere. Repaint the glass jars of paint. Let it dry and repeat the operation once or twice for a better result. Remove the stickers and let the paint dry well overnight before decorating the candle holder.
  3. Treat the sandpaper surface to give your candle holders a vintage, weathered look. Finish with a coat of varnish to protect the surface of the glass jar.
  4. Fill (about 1/4 of the contents) with corn, then insert the candles inside.
  5. Use the decorations to embellish your candle holder further. Light the candle and use it as a centerpiece or a decoration for your serving table.

Hollow pumpkin vase or candle holder for your fall

Materials and tools needed:

  • Pomarine (miniature pumpkin)
  • Paring knife
  • Spoon
  • Acrylic paint (lavender, soft green, and dark gray color)

Production:

  1. Draw a small circle around the stem of your pomarine, using the candle to outline. Cut around the stem and remove the part in question. It might be necessary to agitate a bit so that the rod can come out and be aware that using a spoon to stuff might help with this.
  2. Using a spoon, collect the seeds and the flesh of the pumpkin. Rinse the pomarine and pat dry with a paper towel.
  3. Apply a few coats of acrylic paint, remembering to let it dry after each new application.
  4. Insert a candle or a small LED light into it.

To make the flower vase, you proceed in the same way except that in this case, instead of putting a light, we will fill it with water, and we will arrange a small bouquet of fresh or artificial flowers inside.

Original door decoration – an autumnal wreath of woolen threads

Materials and tools needed:

  • Artificial flowers
  • Bunch of artificial wheat ears
  • Pins
  • Decorative floral foam wreath

  1. Start by wrapping yarn around the floral foam base. You could use wool in two colors – yellow and orange (both quintessential fall colors) for a more stimulating effect.

Regarding the ears of wheat, you can either insert each strand in the wool, passing it underneath or form a small bouquet that you can then tie with a woolen thread to your own.
